Chasing Beauty Publishing + Twenty One Summers are born from the vision of Thomas Werner and Derrick Connell
Twenty One Summers explores
The amount of time we have in life, the goals we hope to achieve, and the Blind Spots that often unknowingly keep us from reaching them.
It is a guidebook, a pathway or way of living that offers valuable insights, inspiring readers to take the first step toward bringing positive change to their lives and those of others. These changes, goals, and dreams, are their Twenty One Summers. The concept for the book came from years of working with students in New York and the challenges Derrick and Thomas faced after graduation from college, a moment when everything and nothing seemed possible. Though the book is helpful to readers throughout their lives we focus on four specific points. Graduating from college, expected and unexpected mid-life change, times when you are feeling stuck or would like to make a change, and retirement.
Today’s world is marked by uncertainty, with artificial intelligence transforming careers and daily routines, leaving many to question what the future holds. A growing number of people feel stuck or dissatisfied with their current situation. Drawing on their diverse backgrounds in art, design, business, nonprofit work, and technology, Derrick and Thomas share practical guidance to help you adapt to change and pursue a more fulfilling life.
Practical Strategies and processes are provided to help the reader identify and overcome Blind Spots as they realize their Twenty One Summers during any phase of life.
